ISS (Formerly RiskMetrics) still seeking 2012 proxy policy comments
ISS is still seeking comments on its 2012 draft proxy voting policies. A critical component of ISS’ annual policy formulation process, this comment period allows institutional investors, corporate issuers, and governance market participants to provide feedback on ISS’ policy updates while they are still in draft stage. The comment period runs through Oct. 31 and includes ISS’ U.S. and international policies.

Board Gender Quotas in Sweden
The Swedish debate on board diversity took an unexpected turn last month when Moderate Party Secretary-General Sofia Arkelsten wrote an editorial in the national business daily Dagens Industri announcing that the party may support board gender quotas. U.K. Investor Association Issues Reports on Pay and Boards
